Speed up your site

I'm willing to bet you're running Wordpress or Magento if you have a firearms website. If so, pat yourself on the back--those are actually the good ones. I've even seen some Wix sites that looked pretty good.

Upgrade your content and menus

This is where we mention information architecture. That basically means we want to make your site's content read like a good book to your target audience, and not like a Catullus poem.

Don't get me wrong, I dig Catullus, I just wouldn't pay him to write my web content. A lot of people think you have to shell out big bucks for web development, try writing content on the cheap.

Google actually looked into doing content management and then decided to try something less difficult--self-driving cars. Writing content for a full website begins at $1200.

Design a theme

This is what makes a site look pretty with all the colors and whatnot. If you're looking for words like parallax and autoplaying videos as backgrounds, rounded corners and pretty colors--this is where you'll find it.

Also depends on what CMS or system you're using, but custom themes are high-priced commodities. Custom Wordpress themes can start around $3,000 and go up from there depending on what special features and functionalities you want.

Be careful of the $50 themes, because they may suit your needs for the moment, but having to move off of one because it doesn't scale or development support ends can be costly.

I'm not saying premium themes are a bad idea--currently you're looking at Wordpress twentyseventeen because we're still in the process of designing our own, custom, outdoor, awesome Wordpress theme. Just know what you're getting yourself into.

Take ownership of your site

This is a relatively new service as it's exactly what the title implies. We take your site and put it on Bluehost hosting. Once it's there, we switch your domain over and we run your website.

Any changes you need, you simply email us and we update the site. No training employees, no worrying about security updates, just a single, monthly invoice for the work.

Running your site also depends on what you're running (at least we're consistent) at the time we take over. Our services start as low as $25 a month. You will have hosting and domain ownership throughout this process, so if you need to change anything--including the development team--you can. No strings attached.

Writing web content

We interview you for your content. Sometimes it's difficult to see what your company needs to say to get the right info to your target audience--we fix that so it's a breeze by going through our content build process with you and your team.

When we're done, you'll have a landing page, business info, product descriptions, advertising copy, and possibly a headache. It's not an easy process, but it's worthwhile and saves hours and hours of expensive development time if done right.
